Eagle Lake Park Ponds

On the north end of the park there is a loop around the north pond (Eagle Lake) and more shelters, literally under giant oaks.  Recently I saw what looked like a juvenile Osprey perched just north of the lake. I wonder if the lake was named for an Eagle when its more likely they saw an Osprey?

The Taylor family who owned this land grazed cattle and raised oranges. A few of the fence posts and barbed wire still remain.

On the north side of Eagle lake are grassland and long pine trees. The tree in the center has a young Osprey perched at the top.
